The 2021 US Open main draw runs from August 30 - September 12 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 141st time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Dominic Thiem is the men’s singles defending champion but has withdrawn following an injury. Naomi Osaka is the women’s singles defending champion and will be aiming to claim the title for the third time in four years. Meanwhile, No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic looks to complete the calendar Grand Slam after winning the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon already this year. Should the Serbian lift the title here for the fifth time, he will also overtake Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to become the first-ever man to win 21 Grand Slam singles titles. With full capacity crowds back again, it’s time for the greatest return!

  • I absolutely love this whole moment, and I like the commentary most of the time, but he massively underplayed this. He commentated this win as if Federer had just won in straight sets in round 1, or something. Barely any emotion or any feeling. Classic moments can be elevated by classic, or even competent commentary ("the waiting is over!") but not here.

  • She should not be British. She is a Romanian born in Canada. British offered her nationality and she sold herself. She gained some Western media support because of that fact but lost my respect. British offered nationality to Novak Djokovic and he refused, that’s why he earned my support forever. And that is why he is the greatest of all time.

    • I've responded to you before. Britain offered "her" nothing. She was a 2 year old toddler when her parents "chose" to move to England. Emma had no say in that decision. None of us chose to be born. We can't choose our ethnicity, but we can choose our nationality if we have options. I have just two options, Irish or English, I chose duel nationality. Emma had four options, she chose Canadian and Britain.. But when it comes representing a nation, Emma had to make a choice, and she chose Britain, the only home she's ever known, the nation that educated her, the nation where her parents chose to settle in, the nation that nurtured her tennis potential. Her parents are Romanian and Chinese, she was born in Canada, but she is British by nurture and choice.

  • if she wasn`t so successful , she wouldn`t be seen as a ''British professional tennis player'' , she would just get the ''f*** off to your country you f** illegal immigrant'' treatment , just like the rest of the immigrants get , even if they are legal . most immigrants are seen and treated as illegal , unless the country wants to take credit for their success .

  • She has Landed a First Slam in First Final so in a way the Pressure is off Her imo!, Will be Lot's of British/UK Attention because We (the British/UK!), crave players to thrive at the Top end after having tried everything including Money to get Consistent success in the Sport!, with all respect, a few have promised in the Women's British ranks but been unable to achieve Constant/consistent Success!, Advice going forward for Emma Raducanu is the Key now imo & My instinct is that She will not trail blaze upcoming Slams Like She did in this one because She will need to Mature & grow into the Game, Hope she Proves Me wrong though!.

  • Fulfilling Our Vows Cycle after cycle of reincarnation, we finally obtained Dafa beginning to cultivate; Enduring hardship and tempering our will, we are fulfilling our mission of saving people. Divine beings waving their long sleeves, materials distributed to thousands of families; Validating Dafa amid harsh persecution, lotus flowers blossom in all directions painting a new scene. A group of practitioners in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, sent over their sincere greetings: “In our Fa study group, we have business owners, teachers, accountants, housewives, and others. We range from young practitioners just past 10 to elderly practitioners in their 70s,” they wrote,. “We will help each other and remind each other to do better. By aligning with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, we will cultivate ourselves well and help others get to know Dafa. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, Master Li!” Practitioner from China Railway Group in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province sent their greetings through a poem:

  • The aggressive style is absolutely incredible. Sakkari whinged that Emma beat her, Bencic and Rogers because they weren't at their best, but Emma's style forces players onto the back foot. It's pretty ruthless. If she keeps mentally tough and keeps working as hard as she clearly has been, the titles will stack up.

I have seen a few matches in this tournament where I thought the ball hit the net during serve but no calls. So it is what it is.

I actually think it was so frustrating, seeing both players making so but so many errors. It didn't fill like a final but a friendly game. I think the Canadian is more technical and playing 5 extra hours b4 the final it can take a toll on you. Well you can say the Canadian had luck on her side to reach the final but the British didn't need luck she won 20 games without losing a set.
